THE QUOTE OF THE DAY

Today\’s quote comes to us from Prof. Jonathan Turley -who, in most instances, is no enemy of Barack Obama\’s and no friend of Republicans:

“Well,I think that the biggest problem we have is that the system itself,if we have a dominant branch, simply begins to shut down in terms ofthe safeguards. People don\’t seem to understand that the separationof powers is not about the power of these branches, it\’s there toprotect individual liberty, it\’s there to protect us from theconcentration of power. That\’s what is occurring here. You know, I\’vesaid it before, Barack Obama is really the president Richard Nixonalways wanted to be. You know, he\’s been allowed to act unilaterallyin a way that we\’ve fought for decades.”

If Jonathan Turley understands that, the constitution be damned, we have an Imperial President who – unlike Nixon who never could get there – is performing more as a monarch than an elected head of state…

….then when do the rest of mainstream media get their heads out of the partisan sand and admit to what is right in front of their eyes as well?

Prof. Turley wins Quote Of The Day honors for speaking the plain, simple truth – a truth which is crystal-clear to anyone who cares to look.  Too bad so many in the media will move heaven and earth not to do so.
