Today’s quote comes to us from the irrational, unhinged, and therefore highly valued MSNBC host, Chris Matthews.
Anyone who wonders why Donald Trump has a problem with people like this need only read the following gem which, albeit disjointedly, came from last night’s Hardball show:
“Is it a royal family instead of a Democratic or a Republican form of government? Or is it a family running the government? Is it Ivanka and Jared and the President sitting around in the White House upstairs ruling the world?
“So the son-in-law — you know, one good thing Mussolini did was execute his son-in-law. I mean, I’m talking about Ciano.
“That was an extreme measure. But this was — this is a strange situation. “
If that, or anything close, were ever said about Barack Obama and his family on any cable news network, including the right-leaning Fox, its host would immediately be either suspended or fired outright.
But this is Donald Trump, and the network is MSNBC. So Matthews had no problem at all floating the idea, in so many words, that Jared Kushner should be assassinated.
The most that will happen is Matthews – possibly with a nudge from the network but not forced – walking his sick hate back on tonight’s show. Case closed.
And do you think the whining media crybabies who were assuring us, in just the past couple of days, that Mr. Trump accusing them of “fake news” put their lives in danger will have a word or two to say about one of their own specifically talking up the benefits of President Trump having his son in law killed?
Consistency from those world class hypocrites? Yeah, right.
I award Christ Matthews Quote Of The Day “honors” for showing us why Donald Trump, however improprietous his way of expressing it, has a 100% justifiable reason for despising these people.
