THE QUOTE OF THE DAY

Today’s quote comes to us from Senator, and just-defeated vice presidential candidate, Tim Kaine.

Here is what Mr. Kane had to say about the White House statement commemorating Holocaust Memorial Day:

I think all of these things are happening together. When you have the chief political adviser in the white House, Steve Bannon who is connected with a news organization that traffics in white supremacy and antisemitism [sic] and they put out a Holocaust statement that omits any mention of Jews. Remember, remember earlier administrations have done these statements and the first thing you do is you pull up what earlier statements have said and the earlier staples, president Obama, and President Bush with the slaughter of Jews and the final solution was about the slaughter of Jews. We have to remember this. This is what Holocaust denial is. It’s either to deny that it happened or many Holocaust deniers acknowledge oh, yeah, people were killed and it was a lot of innocent people, Jews weren’t targeted and the fact that they did that and imposed this religious test on Muslims in the executive orders on the same day is not a coincidence.Holocaust denial is. It’s either to deny that it happened or many Holocaust deniers acknowledge oh, yeah, people were killed and it was a lot of innocent people, Jews weren’t targeted and the fact that they did that and imposed this religious test on Muslims in the executive orders on the same day is not a coincidence.

It is absolute garbage like this, that makes me happy to note Tim Kaine is still a Senator,  and not second in line for the White House.

President Trump’s statement on the Holocaust was just fine. It disrespected nobody.

And the gratuitous, lie that breitbart.com and Steve Bannon in particular are White supremacist and anti-Semitic, is a stain on Kaine’s reputation – what there is left of it.

When  are these liars expected to produce any serious evidence that either the breitbart website or Mr. Bannon are either of those things? Apparently, to mainstream media, there is no such requirement.

Tim Kaine reminds us that, whatever kind of President Donald Trump will turn out to be, the alternative ticket was terrible.

For this, he wins quote of the day “honors”.  And, believe me, he’s more than welcome to them.
