THE QUOTE OF THE DAY

Today’s quote comes to us from our Secretary of State, John Kerry.

Here is what he told the graduating class at Northeast University during Friday’s commencement speech:

“Many of you were in elementary school when you learned the toughest lesson of all on 9/11.  There are no walls big enough to stop people from anywhere, tens of thousands of miles away, who are determined to take their own lives while they target others.”

“So I think that everything that we’ve lived and learn tells us that we will never come out on top if we accept advice from sound-bite salesmen and carnival barkers who pretend the most powerful country on Earth can remain great by looking inward.  And hiding behind walls at a time that technology has made that impossible to do and unwise to even attempt.”

In other words, the Secretary of State of the United States considers sovereign borders the fanatasy of sound-bite salesmen and carnival barkers…

…which, since it has always been true that we cannot be protected from people willing to die killing others, means Mr. Kerry is including every President in the history of the country.

Tell us, Secretary Kerry:  since laws against assault and rape have never stopped people from attempting – and often succeeding – in both, should we simply remove the laws?  Would that be OK with you?  Because it is the equivalent of not attempting to keep our borders secure, isn’t it?

John Kerry wins Quote Of The Day honors, for showing us – again, as he did through 30 accomplishmentless years as a United States Senator – what a shallow, ridiculous man he is…and why he is such a useless lump of coal as our Secretary of State.

That’s two out of two, President Obama.  You sure can pick ’em.

  • I want Kerry to post his home address. I’m sure he leaves the doors unlocked. I want to live in his house and eat his food. And while he’s at it he can pay for my education and health care too.
