Today\’s quote comes to us in the form of a statement by State Department spokesperson Jean Psaki, which was made after the Palestinian Authority (aka the fatah faction) reaffirmed a “unity agreement” with the hamas faction, which controls Gaza:
“Any Palestinian government must unambiguously and explicitly commit to nonviolence, recognition of the state of Israel, and acceptance of previous agreements and obligations between the parties. It\’s hard to see how Israel can be expected to negotiate with a government that does not believe in its right to exist.”
To which I reply……….DOHHHHHHHH.
As has been pointed out many times in this blog, the hamas charter specifically rejects any part of Israel as a state in any form, demands the killing of all Jews (not just Israelis, but all Jews everywhere) and specifically rejects all peace conferences or other negotiations on the grounds that, since all of Israel is Islamic land there is nothing to negotiate about.
As has also been pointed out many times in this blog, fatah, which also specifically rejects Israel as a Jewish state in any form of any kind, already had a “unity agreement” with hamas in place, which meant that it was on board with hamas\’ goals. This latest “agreement”, therefore, is nothing new, just a reaffirmation.
The fact that Ms. Psaki and her boss, Secretary of State John Kerry, and his boss, President Obama, didn\’t figure this out until just now means either these three have been been basing their strategies on logic worthy of a Three Stooges short, or……never mind, I\’m having trouble coming up with an alternative possibility.
I award Jean Psaki Quote Of The Day honors for displaying, so clearly, how incompetent and inept this woeful administration really is. Thank you, Ms. Psaki. Now, maybe, you can try to convince the administration\’s Accomplice Media that it would be a good thing, journalistically, to notice what is dead-on in front of their eyes.
