Today’s quote comes to us from a moderate Democrat (yes, though an endangered species some still do exist): Rep. Josh Gottheimer (D-NJ).
Rep. Gottheimer is one of the few Democrats with the integrity to call out graham platner, his party’s Senate candidate from Maine, on what he so clearly is:
“If this were in Jersey and you had a candidate who abused women, obviously has a Nazi tattoo that now it’s clear that he knew was a Nazi tattoo, not to mention many of his other lies and his comments and extremist comments, pro Hamas, a terrorist organization, other things of that nature. He should get off the ballot.”
“In Jersey, we’d throw him off the ballot or bury him under the Meadowlands. I mean, I don’t understand how somebody like this is going to represent our party. And I think the best action would be for him to leave and get somebody else who’s qualified onto the ballot.”
I award Josh Gottheimer Quote Of The Day honors for doing nothing other than pointing out what anyone who knows a thing about graham platner should already know about him…
…and, as an extra added attraction, making the Democrats who pretend platner is anything but the despicable, hate-filled lowlife he so obviously is and overtly support him – chuck schumer immediately comes to mind – look every bit as dishonest and devoid of basic integrity as they are.
