THE QUOTE OF THE DAY

Today’s quote comes to us from Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), who continues to extinguish (not distinguish, but extinguish) herself at the Munich Security Conference in Germany.

On Friday, Ocasio-Cortez was asked whether the U.S. should send troops if China were to invade Taiwan.

Her answer?

“Um, you know, I think that, uh, this is such a, a, you know, I, I think that, this is a uh, this is, of course a, uh, a very long standing, um, policy of the United States, uh, and, I think what we are hoping for is that we want to make sure that we never get to that point and we want to make sure that we are moving in all of our economic research and our global positions to avoid any such confrontation and for that question to even arise.”

Can’t believe your eyes?  Here’s the video.

Now:  help me out here:  was that a yes, a no or a maybe?

I award Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Quote Of The Day “honors” for just being herself and thereby demonstrating her, er, depth, her understanding, of foreign affairs (which, it seems to me, is about as deep as her understanding of everything else).

For the sake of sane Democrats everywhere, someone please assure me she is not seriously being considered as a 2028 presidential candidate.  I’m begging.
