Today’s quote comes to us from Minneapolis Mayor jacob frey.
This incredible statement was made during an interview with CNN’s Jake Tapper (written with the neighborhood-jargon language he actually used):
“In the face of a whole lotta adversity, I’m so proud to be from Minneapolis… They’re peacefully protesting, they’re standing up for one another, uh, and, y’know, like I said it’s not just gonna be resistance here in this city, we’re not backin’ down, um, we’re not gonna be intimidated.”
For weeks we have seen video after video – literally dozens of them – showing anti-ICE mobs in Minneapolis (and St. Paul) obstructing, vandalizing and committing violent acts against both ICE agents and people who support them. But frey looks us in the eye and tells us they are “peacefully protesting”?
jacod frey is a liar. Every bit as much as Governor tim walz, who also has virtually nothing negative to say about what is going on in his state.
And don’t expect the largest-circulation newspaper in the state to make serious note of this: the Minnesota Star Tribune’s CEO/publisher is Steve Grove – a Democrat operative who used to work for walz.
Oh, did I mention that frey’s wife, Sarah Clarke Frey, worked for Hylden Advocacy & Law until 2022, when it represented/lobbied on behalf of “Feeding Our Future” – a fraudulent enterprise that stole something like $250 million dollars in taxpayer money which was supposed to help feed poor people?
Let’s think about that: could it be that frey’s lying about the “peaceful protests” has a lot to do with the fact that they are deflecting attention away from the massive fraud scandals in Minnesota (Feeding Our Future is just one of many), thus away from his wife’s involvement…maybe his as well? It wouldn’t surprise me a bit.
Regardless of his reasons, I award jacob frey Quote Of The Day (dis)honors for being an obvious, in-your-face liar. And my “congratulations” to the voters of Minneapolis for re-electing him last year. You asked for it, and you got it.
