Today’s quote comes to us from Ken Martin, who chairs the Democratic National Committee (DNC).
Here is what he has to say – and how he compares – the shooting of Renee Good and the Iran uprising:
“From Tehran to my birthplace of Minneapolis, people are rising up against systems that wield violence without accountability. In Iran, brave protestors confront a far-right theocratic regime that crushes dissent and denies basic freedoms,”
“Here at home, tens of thousands are marching after the fatal ICE shooting of Renee Good — demanding justice, transparency, and an end to an unchecked federal force that takes lives and tears families apart. Solidarity across borders means opposing authoritarian power everywhere and defending the right to live free from fear and state violence. #StandWithIran #JusticeForReneeGood #EndAuthoritarianism.”
Yes, you can blink in disbelief all you want, but you read that correctly. He really said that.
That is Ken Martin, the DNC Chair, comparing the shooting of one “protester” who worked as hard as she could to antagonize ICE agents and then drove her car at one of them, with Iran’s murderous mullahs, who have spent decades running run a freedomless society that supports worldwide terrorism and kills its own people in the streets by the hundreds – quite possibly soon to be thousands – for daring to protest about it.
That nuts enough for you?
If not, Martin wasn’t through. He then said this:
“If comparing the U.S. to Iran makes you angry, ask why. Killing protesters. Crushing dissent. Kidnapping and disappearing legal citizens. Ignoring courts. Threatening critics. Terrorizing communities. That’s authoritarian behavior—anywhere. If you’re rushing to defend it, maybe the problem isn’t the comparison. Trump keeps pushing it, Americans aren’t buying it, and Minneapolis won’t be silent.”
Can anyone tell me what Ken Martin said that was even remotely related to reality? Among the thousands and thousands of “protesters” who are breaking laws with matter-of-fact abandon In Minneapolis and other cities around the country, one – ONE – “protester” was shot; not because of her protesting but because she drove her car in a way that could have hit an agent. How does this compare to Iran’s decades of repression, terrorism and murder? And what LEGAL citizens are being “kidnapped”? “Disappeared”? Threatened? Terrorized?
I award Ken Martin Quote Of The Day “honors” for making a total, complete idiot of himself to prove his partisanship to the hard-left current owners of his political party.
