Today’s quote comes to us from an unnamed Somali woman, who has an interesting view of why we should be particularly appreciative of her and her Somali femal counterparts.
Here is what she has to say (and in case you find it hard to believe she said it (I wouldn’t blme you a bit) – here is the video):
“I feel like, at the end of the day, it’s really about who washes their ass after they take a shit. And if you are talking about Somali people, and how we’re pirates and scammers and (inaudible), at least we wash our ass after we take a shit, that really is what it’s all about, that’s really what it comes down to at the end of the day, so if you don’t wash your ass don’t talk to me, don’t bring that shit to me, like, actually, no pun intended.”
Well, there you have it. We may be pirates and scammers and (whatever she said after that), but at least we do that. (Interesting that she didn’t mention where she washes herself after defecating. I’m sort of hoping it’s not at the kitchen sink, but she doesn’t say for sure).
I award this Somali woman Quote Of The Day honors for giving us a heads-up (I’m not sure where the head goes up, but at least if it’s there it was cleaned) on what, in her view, makes women from her country of origin special.
I’m sort of hoping (maybe praying is more like it) that other Somali women have a different perspective….
