Today’s quote comes to us from Fox News’s Elizabeth MacDonald.
As much of our allegedly neutral mainstream media, and the left wing cable channels MS NOW and CNN, continue to go after Donald Trump for the apparently unforgivable sin of hitting a boat loaded with illegal narcotics not just once, but twice – on the grounds that it might have killed two people from the boat who survived the first strike – Ms. MacDonald reminds us of this:
“Just for the record, Barack Obama authorized at least 542 drone strikes that killed roughly 3,797 people, one estimate says that includes about 324 civilians. Independent counts — including by The Bureau of Investigative Journalism (BIJ) — estimate much larger civilian death tolls. In regions like Pakistan, Yemen, and Somalia, BIJ-based estimates put civilian deaths in the range of 384–807 during Obama’s tenure.”
Tell me: do you remember these same media going after Barak Obama for those drone strikes? Do you remember them lamenting the thousands of people who died (and who knows how many others who were injured) as the result of those strikes?
Me neither. But a couple of narco-traffickers taken out while transporting their death material to the United States? Heaven forfend.
I award Elizabeth MacDonald Quote Of The Day honors for providing us another crystal-clear example of just how biased – how ridiculously biased – so many of our mainstream media are.
