THE QUOTE OF THE DAY

Today’s quote comes to us from Democratic National Committee (DNC) Chair, Ken Martin.

As you probably know, the Democrat candidate for Mayor of New York City, zohran mamdani, has refused to distance himself from the term “globalize the intifada” – which, as most people are aware, is a synonym for “annihilate Israel, and get those Jews no matter where they are”.

According to Victor Nava’s article for the New York Post, Martin was asked about this during an interview on PBS News Hour.  Here is what he answered:

“You know, there’s no candidate in this party that I agree 100% of the time with, to be honest with you.

“There’s things that I don’t agree with Mamdani that he said, but at the end of the day, I always believe, as a Democratic Party chair in Minnesota for the last 14 years and now the chair of the DNC, that you win through addition, you win by bringing people into your coalition.

“We have conservative Democrats, we have centrist Democrats, we have labor progressives like me and we have this new brand of Democrat, which is the leftists, and we win by bringing people into that coalition.

“At the end of the day, for me, that’s the type of party we’re going to lead. We are a big tent party.”

There you have it;  the Chair of the DNC telling us that he is ok with Democrats who spew overt Israel-hatred and Jew-hatred.  Because, after all, “we are a big tent party”.  Big enough, apparently, that anti-Semites are welcome.

Does he welcome ku klux klansmen too?  Hey, it’s a big tent party, right?  Just asking…

I award Ken Martin Quote Of The Day “honors”, for making his – and, presumably, his party’s – acceptance Jew hatred so clear.

And, because he has done so, I also congratulate Ken Martin for creating a major campaign issue that will most assuredly be used over and over again.

His problem?  It will be Republicans using it.
