Today’s quote comes to us from House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY).
This is what Rep. Jeffries had to say this morning, on ABC’s “This Week”, about New York City’s Democrat mayoral candidate, zohran mamdami and anti-Semitism:
“Globalizing the intifada by way of example is not an acceptable phrasing. He’s going to have to clarify his position on that as he moves forward.”
“With respect to the Jewish communities that I represent, I think our nominee is going to have to convince folks that he is prepared to aggressively address the rise in anti-Semitism in the city of New York, which has been an unacceptable development.”
Uh….earth to Hakim Jeffries:
zohran mamdani does not have to clarify his position on globalizing the intifada. That IS his position. It couldn’t BE more clear.
And, other than for hardest-of-hard left and/or self-hating Jews (of which, sad to say, there is no shortage in New York City), I think most people are already convinced that he is prepared to address the rise in anti-Semitism in the city of New York; by either pretending he isn’t part of it (lots of luck with that), or being honest enough to come clean about what his entire history has shown us.
I award Hakeem Jeffries Quote Of The Day honors for trying to make the best of an impossible situation – i.e. presenting zohran mamdani as having no problem with Jews, and proving the situation’s impossibility by getting exactly nowhere with his effort.
