Today’s quote comes to us from President Joe Biden.
On his way out the door, Mr. Biden made a “farewell speech” last night. It was patronizing, accusatory and self-congratulatory. In short, it was awful. But, among all the candidates for quote of the day it contained, this one particularly struck me:
“I want to warn the country tonight of some things that give me great concern. That’s the dangerous concentration of power in the hands of a very few, ultra-wealthy people. There are dangerous consequences if their abuse of power is left unchecked.
“Today an oligarchy is taking shape in America of extreme wealth, power, and influence that literally threatens our entire democracy, our basic rights and freedoms, and a fair shot for everyone to get ahead.”
That’s your worry, Mr. President?
Then maybe you can explain all the left wing billionaires – especially among the silicon valley crowd – who have financed you all these years.
Jason Collins, writing for yahoo.com, put out an article last year titled “7 Billionaires That Have Thrown Big Backing Behind Biden’s Presidency”. Mr, Collins names them, and makes it plain that this is only a partial list.
And then there is george soros. The multi-billionaire who you gave the Presidential Medal Of Freedom to just two weeks ago. What were his contributions to the United States…other than heavily financing not just you but hard-left District Attorneys and Attorneys General around the country committed to defunding the police and looking the other way for crimes thatt should be generating jail time?
It has been said that radical leftist saul aulinsky advised his acolytes to accuse others of what they are doing. I award Joe Biden Quote Of The Day “honors” for taking him up on his advise when it comes to warning us about the political influence of billionaires.
