Today’s quote comes to us from Los Angeles Deputy Fire Chief Kristine Larson — who heads the Equity and Human Resources Bureau.
When it was brought up that there is an issue with female firefighters – specifically, that female firefighters, presumably as a group (there are always exceptions), are unable to carry a male victim out of a burning building.
Her response? According to Jared Downing’s report in the New York Post, she said on video that:
“He got himself in the wrong place if I have to carry him out of a fire.”
In other words, if there is a fire in a building, a man becomes incapacitated/in need of physical assistance there, and the female firefighter is physically incapable of getting him out of the building…
…he has nothing to complain about. After all, he shouldn’t have been there in the first place.
I award Kristine Larson Quote Of The Day “honors” for demonstrating that she is a complete, utter idiot. And one, I assure you, who will not lose her job over this comment, because….well, because this is Los Angeles.
May God help every resident who lives there. They obviously need the help desperately.
