Today\’s quote – actually quotes, since there are a pair of them – comes to us from a man Wisconsin is very lucky to call its own: Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke.
Here is what Chief Clarke has to say – first, about the DOJ seconding Saint Louis\’s grand jury in bringing no charges against (now former) police officer Darren Wilson for his performance on August 9th, when he shot and killed Michael Brown:
“The grand jury in Ferguson, Missouri, got it right. Officer [Darren] Wilson has been exonerated. The thing I want to know is how does he get his reputation back?”
Then, al sharpton, one of the “leaders” who has made a cottage industry out of racializing the Brown shooting:
“Idon\’t expect anything intelligent to come out of the mouth of AlSharpton. We know he isa charlatan. Al Sharpton ought to go back into the gutter he camefrom. The police officer is owed a lot from him, Eric Holder and thepresident of the United States.”
Some people think having guts means shouting out insults and stupidity louder than anyone else – the obnoxious alan grayson (D-FL) comes to mind.
But other people show their guts by stating what they believe to be the truth in an honest, blunt way – which describes David Clarke to a tee.
Sheriff Clarke wins Quote Of The Day honors for standing up for what he believes without worrying about who is going to say what about him when he does so.
