Today’s quote comes to us from Quentin Fulks, principal deputy campaign manager for Joe Biden.
It was stated yesterday, after Montana Senator Jon Tester – one of the most vulnerable Democrat Senators this year – joined the voluminous, and still rapidly growing, number of Democrat officeholders asking (demanding? begging?) Joe Biden to end his re-election campaign.
Here is what Mr. Fulks had to say:
“Our campaign is not working through any scenarios where President Biden is not the top of the ticket. He is and will be the Democratic nominee.”
If you believe that…..you can fill in your own fantasy-world end to the sentence.
I award Quentin Fulks Quote Of The Day honors for his real-life version of that old expression “whistling past the graveyard” (trying to pretend there is nothing to be concerned about when there very definitely is).
I doubt that the removal will take more than a week or two…and I wouldn’t be surprised if it happened as soon as this weekend.
