THE QUOTE OF THE DAY

Today\’s quote comes to us from – ratings-wise – a nearly anonymous source:  Chris Hayes, who offers up his reliably hard-left ideology weekday evenings at (where else?) MSNBC.

This is what Mr. Hayes had to say about the French\’s resolve to fight terrorism – as exemplified by its lower house voting 488-1 to increase air strikes on ISIS:

“Whenwe see the blood splattered on the floor of the Charlie Hebdooffices, the mourners at the funeral of the French Jews who weremurdered solely because they were Jews, we naturally, rightly, reachfor words like \’evil\'”.

“Weconjure figures like Hitler and feel for a moment that the crimes wehave witnessed have suddenly clarified everything.  Butthat clarity, thatclarity is a trap. It\’s the terrorists\’ own lie,the one they wish to peddle to us all. Itis the propaganda of fools and butchers. Becausethesemoments call for rigor, for resolve, and the courage to be clear-eyedand to resistthe tug of cheap sentiment, easy solutions, and broadcategorizations.Because the terrorists want us above all not to think. They want usto cower or to rage or to fight. But thinkingis always, and remains, our best weapon.”

Uh…which means what?

That instead of attacking the people who, if left to their devices, will kill every non-believer and establish a worldwide caliphate, we should leave them alone and do some heavy thinking?  That concluding, from decades of terrorist attacks and countless thousands dead, that they are at war with us and we need to fight back, is somehow not thinking?

Did you ever see such ideology-uber-alles crap in your life?

I wonder what this genius would have said after krystallnacht, or the nazi takeover of France, Poland, etc.:  that we should hold our fire and think up a storm?  If we “thought” then the way he does now, the above quote would have been made in German, and hitler would have been cited in reverential terms.

I award Quote Of The Day Honors to Chris Hayes, for showing us – as if we needed further proof – the “logic” that mindless, far-left ideological BS leads us to.  And, with it, I offer a suggestion which I hope he will take to heart:

Dear Mr. Hayes:  Some people think with their heads and some with their asses.  Maybe you should consider the northern alternative.
