Today’s quote comes to us from former – and quite possibly future – President Donald Trump.
Trump was caught, evidently not realizing he was being recorded, discussing the Democrats’ problems with Joe Biden and Kamala Harris…and what he thought he heard about Biden dropping out of the race. Here, after the debate, is what he had to say to several people at a golf club before heading to the course:
“How did I do in the debate the other night? I took that old broken down pile of crap…he just quit, he’s quitting the race, I got him out…and that means we have Kamala. I think she’s going to be better. She’s so bad. She’s so pathetic. She’s just so fucking bad. But can you imagine that guy dealing with Putin? The President of China, who’s a fierce person, who’s a fierce man, a very tough guy….they just announced he’s (Biden’s) probably quitting. Let’s just keep knockin’ em out, right?

Maybe. But probably not in those exact words, I suspect…though, Trump being Trump, I’m not entirely sure.
I award Donald Trump Quote Of The Day honors for making his opinion of the debate, his opponent, and his possible replacement opponent so clear….
…and for showing that he has no problem having an amiable, unaffected conversation with regular everyday people – like workers at a golf course, in this case (or at a bodega or at a fast food restaurant, as we have seen in the recent past).
I think that’s the Jamaica, Queens upbringing coming out of him. Anyway, I hope so.
