THE QUOTE OF THE DAY

Today’s quote comes to us from President Joe Biden (or, more probably, the puppeteers who trot him out to say what they want him to).

It concerns his ability to shut down the southern border – the one he has left wide open for almost 3 1/2 years, so that somewhere between 7 and 10 million illegals (that we know of) have entered our country.

During yesterday’s (softball, of course) interview on Univision, the subject of Biden’s ability to close the border without legislation came up.

Here is his answer:

“We’re examining whether or not I have that power. There’s no guarantee that I have that power all by myself without legislation. And some have suggested I should just go ahead and try it. And if I get shut down by the court, I get shut down by the court. But we’re trying to work that, work through that right now.”

That so, Joe?

Uh…didn’t you use your “executive power” to eliminate every safeguard put up by President Trump – thus opening the border and allowing these millions of illegals to come in?

And doesn’t the fact that Trump’s actions – which resulted in a small fraction of the illegal incursions we have experienced under your presidency – inherently demonstrate you have that power?  If he could do it, couldn’t you?

And even if you disagree with the above logic, couldn’t you just reinstate the safeguards that were in place when you took office?  The ones there is no doubt you could impose because they already had been in place?  The ones that kept our border so much more secure?

I award Joe Biden Quote Of The Day “honors” for doing what he does best.  Lying to our faces and hoping we are either ignorant enough, stupid enough, or a combination thereof, to believe him.
