Today’s quote comes to us from former Mayor of San Francisco/current Governor of California/possible future (maybe this year) presidential contender, Democrat Gavin Newsom.
Here, so help me God I am not making it up, is his assessment of how to sell the “successes” of the Biden presidency:
“It’s not even a complicated campaign. We have the receipts.
“We have the best three-year record of any modern American presidency, period, full stop. And you look at the issue, issue by issue, they poll overwhelmingly, the American people support what Biden has done.”
Are you blinking your eyes in disbelief? Did Newsom actually say that?
Well, yes he did. Those words were spoken on Sunday morning, during an interview with ABC News’ Chief Washington correspondent Jonathan Karl.
The best explanation I can come up with is that a lot of mind-altering drugs are sold on the streets of San Francisco, the city Newsom helped to turn from a great international tourist destination to a public toilet in which the main industries seem to be shoplifting, panhandling and drug sales. Maybe he was in SF and hit one of the drug sellers before heading to ABC studios.
In any event, I award Gavin Newsom Quote Of The Day honors for providing one of the most delusional reviews of a presidential administration I have ever seen….
and honorable mentions (along with pity) to anyone deluded/drugged enough to buy what he was selling.
