Today’s quote comes to us from shaykh naim qassem, who is billed as the #2 person of hezbollah, the terrorist organization that occupies South Lebanon and regularly shells Israel.
It seems qassem is perturbed that Israel has treated the slaughter of 1,200- 1,400 innocent people and hostage taking of over 200 more as an act of war. And, beyond Israel, he is unhappy with places he feels are on Israel’s side to one extent or another.
Here is how he frames the situation, and the places involved:
“It is necessary to put up a united front against the coalition of evil represented by America, Israel, France, Britain, Italy and Germany with the coalition of good of the anti-Israeli resistance forces in Palestine, Lebanon, Iran, Yemen and Iraq”.
Got that? The evil places are America, Israel, France, Britain, Italy and Germany; the coalition of good is Palestine, Lebanon, Iran, Yemen and Iraq.
Hmm, let me think about this: if I were picking a country to live in, to raise a family in, to grow and prosper in, to retire in, which group would I choose from?
Until now I would have unhesitatingly gone with the first group. But qassem has opened my eyes. How could I have been so narrow-minded.
