Today’s quote comes to us from someone named Jim Stewart.
I don’t know a thing about Mr. Stewart, other than that he commented on this Associated Press article about the war between Israel and hamas:
“Arab nations sat idly by while Hamas amassed the weapons (mainly from Iran) and conducted the planning and training (again mainly with huge help from Iran) necessary to attack Israel on Oct 7th. You can’t tell me they didn’t know. They did nothing. Many Palestinians would love to see Hamas ousted but they had no support from those countries or from Abbas and the PLO. The deaths of so many innocents is a tragedy – just ask Jews, who have been subjected to many progroms, the worst of which was the Holocaust. Nothing will end well now. The world essentially sat and did nothing – including the UN; this is what you get.”
Every word 100% true.
Since it took charge of Gaza in 2007, hamas has used virtually all the aid money provided to help Gazan citizens (minus the money hamas leaders took for themselves so they could live luxurious lives in Qatar) to accomplish it’s stated-in-writing goal of annihilating the state of Israel and killing all Jews everywhere.
Yet, in those 16 years, there was not a peep about it from any of the 22 Arab countries…nor from the United Nations, which not only funded hamas but, through its Relief Works Agency (UNRWA), helped teach Gazan children little other than hatred, violence and vengeance against Jews.
I award Jim Stewart Quote Of The Day honors for pointing out this accurate, important insight about what led up to the war, and stating it in a way that makes me wish I had said it first.
