Today’s quote comes to us from Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC).
Ms. Mace was a guest on this past Sunday’s ABC “This Week” broadcast. Host/Chief White House Correspondent Jonathan Karl asked what he apparently thought was a tough question: whether it was “premature” for the House Of Representatives to pursue an impeachment inquiry of Joe Biden.
Here was Rep. Mace’s answer:
“The facts are everywhere.
“There are text messages, there are emails, there are witnesses, thee are whistleblowers, there are meetings, there are phone calls, there are dinners…And the inquiry, my understanding is, as you said earlier, gives us expanded subpoena powers.
“I want the bank records of Joe Biden. All of that should be on the table to prove out the allegations in the SARS reports. We’re talking about significant sum of money.
“We are talking about bribery. And in the Constitution, Article 2, Section 4, that is the basis for impeachment.”
Nancy Mace wins Quote Of The Day honors for laying out the reasons for an impeachment inquiry in language so plain and clear that even an ABC News “journalist” can (or, at any rate, should be able to) understand it.
