Today’s quote comes to us from Latisha Law.
Ms. Law is a certified nursing assistant, single mother of three, and grandmother. She is also a Bronx resident who is, at least allegedly, represented by Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY).
When Ms. Law was made aware of the fact that – as reported in Dana Kennedy’s article for The New York Post – Rep. Ocasio-Cortez “used her Instagram stories to share a video from New Zealand’s left-wing Aotearoa Liberation League in which an activist claimed the ‘propaganda’ surrounding inflation was designed to protect ‘greedy shareholders,’ who are truly to blame for the rising cost of living”, this is what she had to say:
“Is AOC crazy? Has she been to a grocery store recently? $1,000 ain’t nothing no more. $100 ain’t nothing no more. Maybe she should spend some time in the projects and really help people.
“I’m working two jobs just to survive. I kill myself just to feed my family. It’s much worse now than it was before the pandemic.”
I guess Ms. Law is not convinced by Rep. Ocasio-Cortez’ “reasoning”.
I award Latisha Law Quote Of The Day honors for stating what, I would think, most people – particularly people who are struggling with the effects of inflation – see as a stark reality that affects their lives daily….
…and another reason that, if the polls are accurate, so many Black citizens (like Latisha Law) and Latino citizens are distancing themselves from the Democrat Party – the party this has taken place under.
Too bad Ms. Law can’t claim she came to the United States illegally. Then, also via Democrat policies, she’d get most of what she’s struggling pay for given to her free.
