Today’s quote comes to us from either Vice President Kamala Harris, or an average third grade student at your local elementary school
Yesterday, while making a speech – with what passes for our Transportation Secretary, Pete Buttigieg (has this man ever accomplished a thing, either as the Mayor of South Bend or his current position?) – Ms. Harris blessed us with this definition of the national transportation issue:
‘This issue of transportation is fundamentally about just making sure that people have the ability to get where they need to go. It’s that basic.”
Access for disabled people – a major concern of the group she was speaking to – is a serious issue. Bridges are crumbling. Roads are buckling. Trains are derailing. But this is how VP Harris, with Transportation Secretary Buttigieg sitting next to her and reacting approvingly, has encapsulated the essence of our problems. Isn’t that special?
I award Kamala Harris Quote Of The Day honors – along with that average third grader – for giving us an explanation of transportation that would get the third grader at least a C+, maybe even a B if the teacher was nice.
One other thing: If Joe Biden cannot finish his term of office (a real possibility) she is our president. And if he decides/is induced not to run for re-election, one of the most talked-about Democrat alternatives is Pete Buttigieg.
Holy excrement.
