Today\’s quote comes to us from Federal Judge Arthur J. Schwab. Judge Schwab, who operates out of the western district of Pennsylvania, ruled on a deportation case today. But the quote is not about this individual case, it is the shot across President Obama\’s bow implicit in the wording of his ruling.
Here is what Judge Schwab had to say:
“PresidentObama\’s unilateral legislative action violates the separation ofpowers provided for in the United States Constitution as well as theTake Care Clause, and therefore is unconstitutional”.
Got that? A federal judge, in a formal ruling, has stated, flat-out that President Obama\’s action is unconstitutional. In so many words.
Now: what will opponents of the Obama amnesty do about it?
I award Judge Arthur J. Schwab Quote Of The Day honors for putting this simple declarative statement in his ruling — and, I hope, forcing a Supreme Court decision on amnesty, along with other instances in which President Obama blatantly exceeded his constitutional authority, in the very near future.
