For whatever it is worth…
…the Quinnipiac (QUINN ih pee ack) poll was just released. Here are its findings:
-The Democrat Party is seen in positive terms by 31% of the sample, and in negative terms by 57%. That is the worst showing for Democrats in this poll’s history.
-The Republican Party is seen in positive terms by 43% of the sample, and in negative terms by 45%. That is the best showing for Republicans in this poll’s history.
Let’s remember that this is just one poll, political polls have a nasty habit of often not coinciding with reality (reference Iowa’s presidential election results and Texas’s senate results last year), and even if they are accurate at this moment, subsequent events can quickly change people’s attitudes.
But, in any event, these are the data we have right now. You decide what, if anything, it means.
