Then next time someone tells you they heard on TV, or read in the newspaper, about how low the public\’s opinion of congress is, mention the following Gallup poll to them:
That 40% is an all-time low for the 17 years Gallup has asked this question.
And the next time someone tells you that media are not biased in favor of Democrats, ask them why, when responses to the above question are separated by party, they come out this way:
As you can see, the only reason trust and confidence in mass media is anywhere near even the abysmal 40% level, is because Democrats are far happier with what they broadcast and print – about 20% higher – than the average of non-Democrats…and twice as happy as Republicans in particular. Now why do you suppose Democrats are so much happier with mass media than anyone else?
