Why did a hot war start between Israel and Gaza? Because hamas, whose covenant explicitly calls for the annihilation of Israel and death to all Jews (not just Israelis) massacred 1,200 – 1,400 people in Israel – most of them civilians attending a dance concert.
Why does Israel hit targets near hospitals and schools? Because hamas put its military equipment/artillery/personnel there to use its own people as human shields.
Why has so little food gotten through to the Gazan population? Because hamas expropriates as much of the food that comes in as it can, and sells what it doesn’t eat to its own people at a premium.
Why are so many trucks loaded with food supplies currently sitting and waiting to go to Gaza? Because, as noted above, hamas will steal that food and sell what it doesn’t eat to its own people at a premium.
Why are fewer and fewer people willing to help with the distribution of food? Because they fear that if they don’t turn it over to hamas – and even if they do – they will be killed.
The problem is hamas.
Not Israel, not the USA, not anyone else.
