Since mainstream media and the Democrats running Broward County, Florida – by anointing David Hogg and Emma Gonzalez king and queen of the Parkland Massacre at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School (MSDHS) – have made it clear they only want one side of the story, I thought I would present a part of the other side…just so you know there is one.
Here, from Louis Aguirre and Andrea Torres’ article for ABC’s Miami/Fort Lauderdale affiliate (one of the few venues which is bothering to present both sides), we have this:
Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School survivor Anthony Borges wore one of his favorite Barcelona training soccer jerseys to a news conference Friday. The Futbol Club Barcelona’s invitation to visit them in Spain was still pending.
The 15-year-old survivor was credited with saving 20 lives when he used his body to barricade a classroom door. He sat silently in a wheelchair, as his family’s attorney, Alex Arreaza, and his father, Roger Borges, talked to reporters in both English and Spanish in Plantation.
Anthony was shot five times suffering wounds to the lungs, abdomen and legs. Arreaza said that although he was released from the hospital Wednesday, his right leg was still in pretty bad shape and he was also adjusting to a new reality: The gunman also killed his dreams of playing soccer professionally.
Arreaza read a letter that he said Anthony wrote saying both Broward County Public Schools Superintendent Robert Runcie and Broward County Sheriff Scott Israel had failed MSD students, teachers and parents.
“I want all of us to move forward to end the environment that allowed people like Nikolas Cruz to fall through the cracks,” the letter said. “You knew he was a problem years ago and you did nothing. He should have never been in school with us.”
The Borges family also criticized both the Broward Sheriff’s Office and Broward County Public Schools for decisions made before and after the Valentine’s Day massacre that left 17 dead and 16 others injured and for their lack of sensitivity and transparency.
“I am not grateful for the picture that Israel took of my son in that condition, in any way, and I think it was a mockery to have sent me a $100 check from the school board,” Roger Borges said in Spanish. “I think it showed a great lack of respect.”
Wait a minute. Anthony who?
If you rely on mainstream media you’d almost certainly be asking that question.
The fact that Anthony Borges is a hero – a serious, major hero, who did more to save lives at MSDHS than the arrogant, incompetent sheriff scott israel and his four donut deputies who stayed outside the school while children were being slaughtered? Most media couldn’t care less.
They are much more interested in David Hogg, who wasn’t even in the same building during the shooting, therefore was in as much danger from nikolas cruz as I was in New Jersey.
Why? Because he, and his pal, Emma Gonzalez, have all the politically correct left wing positions. They offer no idea of how to protect students from an armed lunatic, in the school, who opens fire. But you can count on them speaking out for more gun control laws and louder condemnation of the NRA. Yeah, that’s the ticket. That will stop school shootings in their tracks. Yay, David, yay, Emma.
As for those 33 casualties, 17 of them fatal? Tough luck.
So Anthony Borges, who media should be avidly celebrating, is pushed off to the side. As is fellow student Kyle Kashuv (wrong politics) and the family of slain student Meadow Pollack (yeah, she died, but wasn’t her father a Trump supporter? Forget it), and, no doubt a good many others as well.
There’s your taste of the other side. And I will be writing more about it in the future. Please do not do the left’s bidding, aided and abetted by a complicit media, and forget it exists.

Everyone should know the name Anthony Borges, he is a true hero.
The media really dropped the ball on this one.
They still could have run their little gun grab con game with little hitler.
