Today\’s paragraphs come to us from Scott Greer, writing for dailycaller.com, and are about much of Europe\’s determination to absorb a sudden tidal wave of “refugees” from countries loaded to the gills with terrorism and terrorist supporters:
More than a fewliberal commentators expressed shock that the area struck the hardest byFriday\’s terror was home to “the city\’syoung, progressive core,” according to Fusion. These are folks whowould never in a million years consider voting for Marine le Pen and theNational Front. They’re the “hipster socialists” who wanted to make Francewelcome refugees and consider criticism of Islamic migration as inherentlyracist.
Now they\’re the veryvictims of Islamic terror, and there will be more just like them if Europecontinues to pursue bad policies and ignores homegrown trouble.
The latest example ofbad policy is how the European Union handled the thousands of illegal migrantswho swarmed into Europe over the summer. Instead of trying to stop the flow andsending back those who had no legitimate claim to asylum, countries all overWestern Europe have enthusiastically welcomed any migrant who claims he (andthey\’re mostly “hes”) is a refugee.
Amazing, isn\’t it? They see millions of people from Syria and environs fleeing….not to the next country over – that\’s what real refugees do – but thousands of miles to get to western locations with massive social services unheard of in their own countries.
And – as I have pointed out in previous blogs – if you look at the videos of these “refugees”, most of the images show that they are predominantly men. Where are the women and children? Real refugees escape with families. These “refugees” look like army regiments.
And have you read countless stories of the “refugees” expressing great thanks to countries like Germany and Sweden which are taking them in, and expressing a fervent desire to live different lives here; to assimilate into the cultures of where they will now live? How about some stories? Even a few stories?
Or is the sense you get that they have come to Europe not to assimilate, but to take advantage of all the free stuff available in those countries while, culturally, turning Europe into a more built-up version of where they came from?
And why would it be a surprise that at least one (I\’m guessing most) of the people who just conducted massacres in Paris is a recent Syrian “refugee”? With untold thousands coming in, ISIS – and al-qaeda and any other terrorist group – has been provided easy cover to send its people within the crowd.
Now Paris is burning. With other cities in Europe (and, I fear, the United States) soon to come.
So what is the answer? Here, according to Mr. Greer\’s article, is what Krystal Ball, the hopeless leftist drone who, for years was featured at (where else?) MSNBC, offers as a defense:
“Most powerful response to radical hate is radical love. Open your hearts wider and love harder.”
Yep, that\’s the ticket. The international terrorism version of “Thank you sir, may I have another”. I rest my case.
Scott Greer wins Paragraphs Of The Day honors for – aside from agreeing with me (which didn\’t hurt his chances) pointing out so well what is going on in Europe and what huge mistakes some of the countries there are making.
