The Obama foreign policy. Six years in, now. And look at how well it has worked:
-We have the “reset” with Russia, which is busy reassembling the USSR;
-We have Iraq, which was a tenuous, but more or less functioning democracy when Obama became President and now – by virtue of his removal of all troops without any significant residual force in place, has been fractured beyond recognition by the ISIS terrorists;
-We have Afghanistan, where Obama tripled our troop strength there, resulting in nothing but more US casualties, then pulled just about all of them out, resulting in a resurgence of al-qaeda;
-We have Syria, where every red line crossed is a red line ignored, and now over 250,000 are dead – with dictator al-assad and ISIS competing for who can kill more innocent citizens there;
-We have Libya, where there was over a half year of bombing without a congressional resolution (i.e. the constitution was ignored), resulting in qadaffi dead and gone…but Libya now a vast terrorist playground;
-We have Yemen, which President Obama touted as a “success story” just last September, with its government in hiding and terrorists running the country.
And who are these terrorists? They are:
-al-qaeda, which Obama told us was virtually decimated during his re-election campaign (scarily, there were people who believed him), and
-ISIS, which Obama disdained as a “jayvee squad” little more than a year ago, but which controls so much of Syria and Iraq that it has declared its own state.
In other words Obama either did not have a clue about their strength and reach, just lied about them, or a combination of both.
And now, with this sterling record of “successes” under his belt, what is the Obama administration\’s current project?
It is cooking up a nuclear deal with Iran – a terrorist country which hates the USA, the west generally, but most of all our staunch ally Israel – that will give its fanatical leaders the opportunity to make good on their overt threat to “wipe Israel off the map”.
In other words, kiss up to an enemy, and put an ally in mortal danger.
There are less than two years left before this nightmare administration ends. I hope we – and the rest of the free world, or what\’s left of it – can survive them.
