THE NEW YORK TIMES’ TRUMP OBSESSION

The New York Times’ obsessive hatred of Donald Trump is hardly unique.  Go to drudgereport.com any day, for example, and see if you can find less than a a half dozen hit pieces on him.

But the New York Times was once regarded as a great newspaper that seriously informed its readers.  So its descent is special.

John Hinderaker, writing for powerlineblog.com, has a piece about this today, fittingly titled “Beyond Parody”.  Here is how it starts:

The liberal press is engaged in a constant cri de cœur, bewailing the fact that Donald Trump is our president, and attacking everything the administration does, no matter how benign. The New York Times, in particular, is impossible to parody. It exists for no purpose other than to elect Democrats, and therefore to attack President Trump and his administration at every opportunity. That is, in virtually every item of national or international “news” that it covers.

This is a screen shot of an email I got this morning from the Times. Do you see a pattern? Is there any reason why they bother to publish a newspaper, other than to implore voters to elect Democrats in the midterm elections, and a Democratic president in 2028? It reads like a parody of the Times. But no, this is the actual newspaper:

The article goes on to dissect, and debunk the “She Sacrificed Everything” article.

I lament what The Times has become.  But things are as they are.  And, as pointed out above, it is far from the only media venue with a similar obsession.

How can you trust media that do this?  And I’m not just talking about the all-bad/nothing good coverage of Trump.  If they do this with him, how can you trust them about anything else?

Think about it.
