THE NEW YORK TIMES & HATRED

Today’s lead editorial in the New York Times is titled “Denounce The Hate, Mr. Trump”.  Here are its first two paragraphs:

In his victory speech early Wednesday morning, Donald Trump pledged that he “will be president for all Americans,” and he asked those who did not support him “for your guidance and your help so that we can work together and unify our great country.”

Here’s some guidance right off the bat, Mr. President-elect: Those sentiments will have more force if you immediately and unequivocally repudiate the outpouring of racist, sexist, xenophobic, anti-Semitic and homophobic insults, threats and attacks being associated with your name. Do this in a personal plea to people who supported your candidacy. Tell them this is not what you stand for, nor is it what your new administration will tolerate.

Ok, we get it.  Trump supporters are a bunch of mouth-breathing bigoted subhumans who hate everyone but themselves…and probably are iffy on themselves as well.

Now:  will the Times be editorializing about the last two days of “protests” by the left wing lunatic fringe – in which they have chanted pleasantries like “Fuck Trump”, “Not our President” and “We reject the President Elect”, while rioting, smashing car and store windows and attacking police?  Or the calls for his assassination?  Or the beating, caught on video by one of the proud friends, of an older White man being severely beaten and robbed by several Black people who assumed he voted for Trump, or…..?

I could go on and on, because the examples, sad to say, are more than plentiful.

If the New York Times, which spent much of this year acting as a Hillary Clinton amen corner instead of a newspaper, wants to try and regain a shred of credibility, it might consider such an editorial.

Doing so just might con a few people into believing the Times is a neutral journalistic venue.

  • My parrot is concerned that the New York Times will soon attract the audience size it merits — NONE !. Bird cage disaster !

The words in the editorial are not the reality.
“racist, sexist, xenophobic, anti-Semitic and homophobic insults, threats and attacks”
These are insults more accurately ascribed to Obama. Trump has NOT campaigned on any of those points.
threats and attacks being associated with your name.
    a s s o c i a t e d ? ? ? ? . . . . . . . wtf does THAT mean ?
So, the NY Tyums makes lies up out of whole cloth and then declares these lies are . a s s o c i a t e d . with their disparagee.

    • Zeke you beat me.
The Times says, immediately and unequivocally repudiate the outpouring of racist, sexist, xenophobic, anti-Semitic and homophobic insults, threats and attacks being associated with your name —
The only reason it is associated with his name is because of the lies the media told to try and get hillary elected.
How can he possibly do what they ask when it is all a lie made up by the media and clinton working in concert. I guess we have 4 or 8 more years of this kind of media BS.
