The latest news is that said and cherif kouachi may – may – have been killed by French police. No word on casualties among the police or employees of the print shop they had holed up in.
But there is now a siege at a kosher butcher shop. As French Jews were stocking up on food for Shabbos (the Sabbath), two Islamic terrorists – quite possibly cohorts of the kouachis – are responsible. Initial reports are that two people in the shop are dead and several have been freed. But, as with all fast-breaking stories everything is subject to change.
Get ready to hear 1,000 exhortations not to blame Islam for this……accompanied by sporadic concern over the plight of French Jews. And don\’t be surprised if one of the sources is 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, Washington D.C.

UPDATE: As of about 12:35PM, reports are that said and cherif kauachi are dead. So is one of the two terrorists – possibly both – who took over a Kosher grocery store. But not before killing at least 4 or 5 of the shoppers. There are injured shoppers and/or police as well.
When media tell you, as they inevitably will, that this is over, do not believe them. This is not over. Not even close.
