THE IDF THAT ISRAEL-HATERS SOMEHOW FORGET TO MENTION

The IDF – Israel Defense Forces – is the country’s military entity, whose mission is to allow Israel to exist with as little death and detruction as its enemies can wreak on it.

This, of course, is anathematic to Israel’s many enemies…most recently including a significant segment of the United States Democrat Party.

But the IDF does other things as well; things Israel’s enemies don’t like to talk about.

Want an example?

From Lt. Col. Ariella Mazor’s article at substack.com:

When earthquakes struck Venezuela this week, the IDF mobilized to support humanitarian and recovery efforts beyond Israel’s borders.

A joint delegation of experts from the IDF Home Front Command, together with other representatives from the State of Israel, departed to Venezuela to assist local authorities with structural assessments, search and rescue operations, and recovery efforts following the disaster.

These are the same specialists who respond when missiles strike Israeli cities. Now, they are applying that experience thousands of kilometers from home.

The team’s mission is straightforward: to help save lives and assist those affected by the disaster, no matter how far away they are from our borders.

Responding to disasters overseas is not new for the IDF. This mission builds on decades of operational experience accumulated by the IDF Home Front Command in disaster zones at home, as well as around the world.

Since the early years of the State of Israel, the Home Front Command and other IDF units have deployed around the world following earthquakes, building collapses, floods, and other natural disasters.

Missions range from rapid disaster response to medical aid. Similar high profile missions have been previously deployed to Turkey, Nepal, and Syria.

Gee, really?

Y’mean the IDF not only protects Israel, but is a humanitarian force around the world when disaster strikes – including disaster in countries that fervently wish Israel would disappear from the face of the earth?

Hmmm.  How does that square with what we have been told about the IDF and about Israel?

While you are pondering that question, here’s another one:  how many of the countries which hate Israel and wish death to its existence – along with its Jewish population – are also out there, front and center, when disaster strikes in other parts of the world?

Is there, for example, an Iranian equivalent to the IDF?  Are Iranians out there helping other countries, including countries that don’t share its view of Islam, when there is an earthquake?  A flood?

How about Turkey –  which, under recep tayyip erdogan, has become a leading Israel-hating entity?  Do you ever hear of them helping out when other countries desperately need it?

I could go on.  There are many other examples.  But I’m assuming you get the idea.  Israel, apart from simply trying to continue existing, is one of the only countries in the world that provides aid internationally when there is a desperate need for it.

Funny how the Israel haters somehow forget to mention this.

Hey, maybe Chuck Schumer, the Senate Minority Leader and an alleged supporter of Israel, would like to get in front of the cameras and do so; then see how it plays among the members of his political party in its current incarnation.

How about it, Chuck?  Show us what today’s Democrat Party – the one you have been so instrumental in creating – feels about Israel’s humanitarianism.

I’ll wait for you to do so.  But I have a feeling the wait will be a long one.
