Based on yesterday’s testimony before the house committee, hunter biden has come up with a novel defense of his actions. “I was high or drunk”.
Yep, that explains things.
From Steven Nelson and Josh Christenson’s article for the New York Post (what; did you expect to see this in the Times???):
First son Hunter Biden claimed in congressional testimony Wednesday that he was “high or drunk” when he wrote to a Chinese associate in 2017 that he was “sitting here with my father” — shortly before the transfer of $5.1 million into Biden family-linked accounts.
A readout of the 54-year-old first son’s closed-door impeachment inquiry deposition was provided to numerous news outlets Wednesday evening citing Hunter’s claim that President Biden had nothing to do with the shakedown of Chinese state-linked CEFC China Energy.
The readout said “Hunter admitted that he was high or drunk when he sent the ‘sitting here with my father’ WhatsApp message, sent it to the wrong recipient, and is now embarrassed by the message.”
Wow. That’s great. It leaves “the dog ate my homework” in the dust.
I see a trend here. “What I did right I did right. What I did wrong was because I was high or drunk. So there”. To be used for every other instance where he is caught as clearly as this one.
Hmmmmm, I wonder what papa Joe’s excuse will be for lying about never discussing his son’s business – then, when he was caught, lying that he never met with his son’s business partners – then, when he was caught, lying that, well, OK, I did meet with them but we didn’t talk about business.
Based on Robert Hur’s report, maybe Biden can claim “Hey, don’t blame me. I wasn’t high or drunk, but I am an old guy who doesn’t really remember things. Now, how many classified documents did you say you found in my house?”
Simply stated, what has come out – and continues to come out – from hunter and papa Joe, would need a boost in credibility to achieve bullshit status.
And have no doubt there’s more to come just like it.
