Apropos of nothing political:
I don’t care how you make your guacamole. If you add a few tablespoons of salsa – medium chunky is my preference – it will improve. The salsa adds color, flavor and a little kick at the end that a pepper does not.
OK, back to politics, where congress doesn’t need salsa or any of the other conventional ingredients to make guacamole, it makes guacamole out of logic and, often, decency, just about every day.
Which brand of Salsa do you recommend ?
I use either Pace or Chi-Chi. Of the two Pace gets the nod, but it’s very close. If you want, I’ll post the guacamole recipe I use – which I learned from the guys making it at the Dos Caminos location on West Broadway and Houston. Theirs is great…but the salsa really does make it even better.
