THE COMEY MEMOS

Is this real, or is it nothing more than James Comey’s revenge?

Let’s start with the conclusion:  no one knows for sure.  At least not yet.

Now let’s see where the “Comey memo” story stands – for which I am going to lift this very complete summary from David Martosko’s article for London’s Daily Mail (along with a strong hope that you will use the link I’ve provided to read every detail):

Ousted FBI chief James Comey claimed in write-up of dinner with Trump that President asked him to ‘LET GO’ investigation into ousted National Security Advisor Mike Flynn because ‘he’s a good guy’

  • Memo written by fired FBI Director James Comey after February 14 meeting with Donald Trump describes the president asking him to drop his Mike Flynn probe
  • The White House denies the claim, saying it’s ‘not a truthful or accurate portrayal of the conversation’
  • Comey’s memo also described a Trump request to prosecute and jail reporters who report on classified information leaked to them
  • Just five days ago Trump warned Comey that he might have ‘tapes’ of their conversations
  • Now it’s Comey on the offense, with his associates reading portions of his explosive memo to a New York Times reporter
  • Sen. Chuck Schumer said on the Senate floor that he was ‘shaken’ by the news and Rep. Nancy Pelosi raised the possibility of ‘obstruction of justice’
  • The federal law against obstruction is purposely broad and could form the basis for an impeachment case against Trump

OK, there’s where we stand at the moment.  Now, let’s talk about it.

The first thing to recognize is that – despite the dog and pony show you saw last year over Comey’s memo which noted the Clinton investigation was ongoing, James Comey has been a long-time ally, and beneficiary of Bill and Hillary Clinton.

How far back does it go, and how extensive is it?  Here’s just a taste, from Kyle Becker’s article at Independent Journal Review:

The first thing to know about James Comey is that before he became the FBI Director in 2013, he was a top executive at Lockheed Martin from October, 2005 until July 2, 2010.

As former general counsel and vice president of Lockheed Martin, the defense contractor benefited under Comey’s leadership from a number of contracts awarded by Hillary Clinton’s State Department.

Lockheed Martin has been one of the top defense contributors to the Clinton Foundation.

In 2013, the same year that he was appointed the FBI Director, James Comey became a board member, a director, and a member of the Financial System Vulnerabilities Committee for the controversial London-based bank HSBC.

HSBC is a bank with close ties to the Clinton Foundation that lists among its clients Frank Giustra, a Canadian mining magnate with ties to a Russian uranium deal approved under Clinton’s State Dept., and six other major foundation donors listed in a report by The Guardian.

I’ll bet most readers didn’t know this.

And if I’m right, congratulations are in order for our mainstream media’s success in shielding Ms. Clinton from the inherent fallout of such information becoming public.

There is more.  A lot more.  But this should disabuse you of the absolute BS construct that James Comey was an enemy of the Clintons.

Now let’s talk about James Comey’s testimony regarding the Clinton email scandal.

When Comey testified, in July, regarding this scandal – which is so extensive and which Hillary Clinton lied about so many times in so many ways that it would be hard to fit the entire story in one blog – what did he conclude?  That she was “extremely careless” in handling the emails, but that there was no reasonable need for an indictment.

That’s it?  “extremely careless” and forget the whole thing?  Not even a recommendation to remove top security clearance from Ms. “Extremely Careless”?

What does that tell you about James Comey’s fealty to Clinton, besides everything?

Want to compare Clinton’s behavior regarding classified information to Donald Trump’s?  If you’re a Clinton supporter and/or Trump hater, this is about the last thing on earth you want to do.

-Clinton ran the State Department through a personal server for FOUR YEARS.  That is four years that every country with even modest intelligence-gathering capabilities, enemy and friend alike, had an open window to see all our decisions, how they were made, what they were intended to accomplish and who was involved in them.

-Ms. Clinton first claimed there were no classified documents on her server throughout that time.  As if anyone other than a Clinton supporter or pro-Clinton mainstream media propagandist would ever believe the chief foreign officer of the United States never sent or received classified information throughout her time there.  That was an obvious lie.

-Then she claimed there were no documents that were classified at the time they were on her server.  As if anyone other than a Clinton supporter or pro-Clinton mainstream media propagandist would ever believe nothing was ever stamped classified.  That was another obvious lie.

-Then she claimed that the 30,000 or so emails she deleted, scrubbed and had the hard drives physically hammered out of existence contained nothing classified or incriminating because she went through them and made sure.   SHE checked?  The person who would be on the hook if what she said was untrue?  That’s like asking Bernie Madoff to go through his stock trading records.

Now you either have been reminded, or are first becoming acquainted with, who James Comey is to Hillary Clinton, and what he let her off the hook for.

Anyone still want to look me in the eye and tell me he was a pro-Trump guy?  Or that he didn’t have an ax to grind against Trump long before he was fired – if, for no other reason, on Hillary and Bill Clinton’s behalf?

When we now read about his “memos”, maybe the above should be kept in mind.

  • also the way he ran the investigation of clinton.
no search, no statement recorded, brought cheryl mills with her to interview, mills given immunity so she would hand over laptop, no grand jury, didnt seize server or computers or phones, and few others i cant think of right now.
