Christopher Wray is the current head of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).
He shouldn’t be. He is either too politically corrupted or too incompetent for this job. But there he is anyway.
Elizabeth Stauffer, writing for The Washington Examiner (via msn.com) has just put out a damning review of Wray’s non-testimony before the House Judiciary Committee, along with her assessment that he has no business being in charge of this once-great, once-respected arm of law enforcement.
Here are a few excerpts:
FBI Director Christopher Wray testified before the House Judiciary Committee on Wednesday and did his part to advance the Biden administration’s nefarious agenda. As usual, he dodged and weaved his way through questioning, leaning heavily on his “inability” to discuss the investigations. He was either lying, or he has no idea about what’s going on in the agency he runs. I suspect it’s the former.
By far, the most brutal exchange of the day came from Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL), a man not known for his subtlety. Gaetz began his questioning by reading the recently revealed July 2017 WhatsApp extortion message from Hunter Biden to Henry Zhao, the president and CEO of Harvest Capital Management, who is closely tied to the Chinese Communist Party.
The message read: “I am sitting here with my father. … I will make certain that between the man sitting next to me and every person he knows and my ability to forever hold a grudge that you will regret not following my direction. I am sitting here waiting for the call with my father.”
With a smirk on his face, Gaetz asked, “Sounds like a shakedown, doesn’t it, director?”
“I’m not going to get into commenting on that,” Wray replied.
Asked by Rep. Andy Biggs (R-AZ) if there were any undercover FBI agents in or around the Capitol during the Jan. 6 riot, Wray replied that he “does not believe” so. Incredibly, he also said, “I would not call the Mar-a-Lago search a raid,” referring to his agency’s unprecedented raid on former President Donald Trump’s Florida home.
Gaetz pounced. “You seem deeply uncurious about it, don’t you? Almost suspiciously uncurious. Are you protecting the Bidens?”
Under questioning by Rep. Harriet Hageman (R-WY) about the agency’s proven collaboration with social media companies to suppress content they disagreed with on their platforms, Wray gave an even more disingenuous response. He claimed, “The FBI is not in the business of moderating content or causing any social-media company to suppress or censor.” In light of the evidence revealed by the “Twitter Files,” Wray’s remarks were incredibly audacious.
The unhappy reality for Wray is that while the vast majority of agency personnel are doing their jobs, its leadership has become thoroughly corrupted. But as events unfold, their motives are slowly being revealed, and the public is losing confidence in the FBI, which has become the enforcement arm of the Democratic Party.
I urge you to use the link I’ve provided and read the rest of Ms. Stauffer’s piece. Disturbing though it may be, it is well worth your time.
The bottom line is that we no longer have an FBI or a Department Of Justice (DOJ); not, at least, as I remember it. They have been overtaken and commandeered by the Democrat Party. To an unsettlingly large extent, they now are Democrat functionaries, assisting in the party’s political dirty work.
The sooner this is exposed and the sooner the leadership of the FBI and DOJ are replaced with people of neutrality and integrity, the better for all of us (other than Democrat partisans, of course).
Let’s hope it happens sooner rather than later.
