THE “CARAVAN” CONTINUES….COURTESY OF MEXICO

Here, from an extensive article in London’s Daily Mail – complete with many pictures of the real situation – is a synopsis of what is going on with the “caravan” of illegal aliens marching, being driven and being bused through Mexico, for the purpose of illegally entering the United States:

• Hundreds of immigrants from Central America are in a ‘caravan’ through Mexico which Trump had claimed was ‘broken up’ thanks to ‘the strong immigration laws of Mexico’ 
• But DailyMail.com reveals how the marchers are being issued passes which give them as long as 30 days to stay in Mexico and tell them to report to immigration centers which dot the U.S. border
• Members of the caravan are also being moved in a fleet of buses north to the outskirts of Mexico City for a rally where they will be given tips on how to apply for asylum in the U.S.
• Trump is activating the National Guard claiming that the border is in crisis and that Mexico has the power to stop the ‘caravans’
• Immigrants on the caravan tell DailyMail.com they will make it to the U.S. border and get across
• Most are from Honduras, where a contentious election has been followed by an upsurge in violence and others said they were fleeing MS-13’s reign of violence

Yesterday, President Trump foolishly tweeted that Mexico was cooperating with us:

He should have known better:  Mexico does not cooperate with us on illegal immigration.  Mexico facilitates it, both for its own citizens and for Central Americans – the ones Mexico doesn’t take in because it doesn’t want them, but is happy to allow free passage for, as long as they come out the other side and illegally jump our border.

In fairness, maybe Mr. Trump tweeted that praise to encourage Mexico to change its ways.  But if he did, it is clear that he’s wasting his time.

Let me put this plainly:

-Mexico (the government – NOT the general pooulation) is no friend to the United States.   It is a leech.

-Mexico treats most of its own people like dirt (why else would almost 10% of the entire country flee to the USA?).  It is, therefore, folly to expect that Mexico would treat refugees from Central America any better.

-Mexico is run by a combination of legendarily corrupt politicians and drug cartels. That is why, despite its vast resources, which should enable the country to give citizens decent lives, it does no such thing.

The members of this so-called “caravan” have successfully fled their native countries.  They are “free” of them, and in Mexico.  But Mexico’s attitude is “we don’t want this trash, we have no compassion for them at all, so we’ll help them go to the USA.  That way we’ll be rid of them and they’ll be the USA’s problem”.

That is what Mexico thinks of refugees from Central America, and that is Mexico’s regard for our border.

I hope President Trump stops the “caravan” in its tracks, shames Mexico (if this is possible) for treating them as non-humans, and punishes Mexico severely for its blatant refusal to honor our border.

Then, if Mr. Trump wants to tweet, maybe he can start by pointing out that most of our media never report about what hellholes several Central American countries are, only what’s wrong with the USA – the country they are trying so hard to get into.

I doubt it will embarrass our media into reporting the whole story – most of them seem beyond enbarrassment.  But at least it will have been said.
