The brunch wars continue.
This footage, shot yesterday, is a group of “protesters”:
-ambushing patrons eating brunch in a Portland, Oregon restaurant (i.e. where they are a captive audience),
-forcing them to listen to their responsive-reading propaganda, including list-out of Black people killed either “by police, armed security guards or self-appointed vigilantes” (most of whom, I suspect, they never heard of, but – of course – including Michael Brown who their pals in Ferguson, Missouri have been lying about for over 7 months),
-then asking them “please stand with us and raise your hands if you stand for Black lives” to show their support (who knows which ones actually agreed with them and which ones did so because they figured it would get them out of the restaurant faster so they could go back to eating brunch),
-before leaving to scattered applause (either in support of their cause or because they were getting out of the restaurant).
Impressed?
Incidentally, if you count them up, you’ll find the “protesters” named a total of 17 Black people who were killed for a variety of reasons.
That’s quite a coincidence. Because, as any regular reader of this blog is aware, on an average day in the United States 17 Black people are killed….not by police, security guards or vigilantes, but, in almost all cases, by other Black people, with a disproportionate percentage of them young Black males being killed by other young Black males.
Funny thing though: These self-righteous, self-appointed keepers of the flame did not mention even one such Black victim.
This just might lead you to the conclusion that the only Black lives they care about are the ones they can use for political propaganda…and the others, who are just as Black and just as dead, don’t matter to them at all.
If so……..you’ve got a point.
