THE BIGGEST BENGHAZI LIE

Ben Shapiro, writing for breitbart.com, has just put out a piece titled “The 6 Biggest Lies About Benghazi”.

If, after reading it, you are not absolutely irate, I suggest an immediate recalibration of your heart and your head.

With apologize to Mr. Shapiro, I would like to post just one of those six in its entirety….because it is extremely important and posting it here guarantees that even readers who are disinclined to use the link I\’ve provided will be able to see it:

The Obama Administration Did All It Could To Protect American Personnel in Benghazi. Thursday on Capitol Hill, retired Air Force Brigadier General Robert Lovell, who was Deputy Director for Intelligence and Knowledge Development Directorate for AFRICOM during Benghazi, testified:

There are accounts of time, space and capability discussions of the question, could we have gotten there in time to make a difference. Well, the discussion is not in the “could or could not” in relation to time, space and capability-the point is we should have tried. As another saying goes: “Always move to the sound of the guns.” It is with a sense of duty as a retired General officer that I respectfully submit these thoughts and perspectives.

Lovell further testified that the State Department submitted no request for military force to the best of his knowledge. In 2013, Deputy Ambassador Gregory Hicks stated that Special Operations Command Africa commander Lt. Col. Gibson were going to board a C-130 to head to Benghazi ” when [Col. Gibson] got a phone call from SOCAFRICA which said, \’you can\’t go now, you don’\’ have the authority to go now.\’ And so they missed the flight…”

That\’s a far cry from the consistent claim from the Obama administration that everything that could have been done was done on that night.

Furthermore, the biggest unanswered question of all remains: why weren\’t there sufficient forces on the ground in the first place to protect American personnel?

Could that be more infuriating?  Could this woefully incompetent, inept administration have handled things worse?  Or lied about how they handled it more?

And then we have the question I have been asking for a year and a half:  WHERE WERE OUR MEDIA?  Why did they look the other way as four of our people were murdered, then collectively form an offensive line and run interference for Barack Obama throughout the almost two months from the Benghazi massacre to the presidential election?  Why have they continued to do so to this day?

Bill O\’Reilly said it very well on his Thursday show:

“Does it get any worse than that in our democracy?…The Obama administration was completely derelict in the Benghazi terror attack and was dishonest in the aftermath. And the national press doesn\’t give a damn? Disgraceful.”

Those questions deserve answers.  Answers that neither the administration in charge of what\’s left of our democracy, nor what passes for our national press, will ever give us.

I use the term “Accomplice Media a lot in here.  This is why.
