THE BIDEN LIE-A-THON

If you are a politician, and most mainstream media almost always look the other way when you lie to make yourself look good, what – other than basic integrity – would stop you from lying over and over again?

If you don’t have basic integrity, though, and your superseding concern is getting votes, taking advantage of most media’s overt bias in your favor by lying on a regular basis is a great option.

This brings us to Joe Biden, and his sit-down interview with CNN correspondent Erin Burnett earlier this week.

According to the New York Post Editorial Board’s article, during that 17 minute interview, Biden managed to barf out 15 – count ’em, 15 – lies.

Let me show you the first five – and then you can use the above link to read the rest:

LIE 1: “I’ve created over 15 million jobs since I’ve been president.”

Biden’s favorite falsehood, told over and over and over again no matter how many fact-checks call him out.

He took office at the tail end of a pandemic that blew a hole in the economy, when lockdown policies wholeheartedly endorsed by Democrats took people out of the office and onto COVID stimulus checks.

He “created” nothing — after the introduction of the vaccine, people returned to the workforce.

LIE 2: “Other than Herbert Hoover, [Donald Trump] is the only president who has lost more jobs than he created.”

The corollary lie.

Trump didn’t “lose” jobs; he was president during a global pandemic.

LIE 3: “Look at what he says he’s going to do if he gets elected. Says he’s going to do away with what I’ve done on Medicare, reducing the price of Medicare.”

There’s no basis for this, as Trump has said he “will never do anything that will hurt or jeopardize Social Security or Medicare.”

LIE 4: “You know we have 1,000 billionaires in America. Know what their average federal tax is? 8.3%.”

Factcheck.org notes that, “The top 0.1% of earners, with more than $4.4 million in expanded cash income, pay an average rate of 25.1% in federal income and payroll taxes.”

LIE 5: “We’ve already turned it around [on the economy].”

Burnett quoted some tough figures on the economy, noting that the cost of buying a home had doubled, and “Real income when you account for inflation is actually down since you took office.”

Biden’s response?

Denial.

There you have it.  Five of the fifteen.  And 10 more to go.  In just 17 minutes.

So, other than the New York Post, where are the rest of our media on this mega lie-a-thon?  For the most part, nowhere, that’s where.

By contrast, much of these same media have spent 7 years telling us, or broadly suggesting, that Donald Trump:

-called neo-nazis “very fine people” (a 100% lie – he said the exact opposite),

-years telling us he said bleach should be injected into people to cure COVID (a 100% lie, he asked if it could be done),

-months telling us he said that, if elected, he would be a dictator from day one (a 100% lie, he said, figuratively not literally, that he’d be a dictator for one day by using executive orders to close the border and allow more oil drilling, and not one second more),

-etc. etc. etc. etc. etc.

This should tell you plenty about Joe Biden’s dishonesty, plenty about how most mainstream media look the other way at Biden’s lies, and plenty about how, by contrast, they invent lies to damage Donald Trump.

How do they call themselves journalists?  How do they even look at themselves in the mirror?

And how does Joe Biden sleep at night?
