THE ATTACK ON PA GOVERNOR SHAPIRO AND HIS FAMILY: NOW WE KNOW WHY

We now know why cody balmer firebombed the residence of Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro, with the intent of immolating him and his family.

Please tell me you’re not surprised.

From Shane Galvin’s article for the New York Post:

The madman who carried out a firebomb attack on Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro’s home was driven by antisemitism and fury over what the Democrat “wants to do to the Palestinian people,” police alleged in a search warrant.

Alleged firebug Cody Balmer, 38, called 911 following the Sunday attack, identified himself by name, and delivered the chilling message addressed to the governor over the phone, according to the warrant obtained by PennLive.

Balmer said he needed to know that Shapiro, who is Jewish and had hosted Passover dinner just hours before, “will not take part in his plans for what he wants to do to the Palestinian people,” the police warrant read, according to the outlet.

“You all know where to find me. I’m not hiding, and I will confess to everything that I had done,” Balmer allegedly told a 911 operator over the phone, according to the warrant.

State police said the accused arsonist targeted the Democratic governor “based upon perceived injustices to the people of Palestine” as well as his Jewish faith, the warrant states.

Surprise, surprise.  balmer hates Israel and – although Josh Shapiro is a state Governor and has exactly zero involvement in foreign policy – he’s a Jew and a supporter of Israel.  So he must die.

I wonder how many of the hard left “protesters” taking over college and university campuses, screaming their support of terrorist hamas, and actively preventing students from attending classes – with a special emphasis on the Jewish students, who have been singled out and attacked – support cody balmer’s effort to immolate Governor Shapiro and his family?

I can’t prove it, but I’d bet anything that, since balmer’s attitude toward “Palestine” is identical to theirs,  the answer is that a helluva lot of them – I’d bet on a strong majority of them – are in sympathy with him.

Now let’s see who does – and doesn’t – condemn not just the murder attempt (with an empty, generic statement of some kind), but the specific reason for it.

Don’t count on the hard left to be among them.  Intolerance, hatred, and violence in pursuit of their goals, are neither neither strangers to this bunch nor unwelcome guests.
