Did you know that President Obama has a summit meeting scheduled tomorrow with 6 Persian Gulf Arab nations?
You might not…because the Obama White House is not exactly touting this event, now that 4 of the 6 nations have blown him off.
The heads of state of Saudi Arabia the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Bahrain, Qatar and Kuwait were invited. The heads of state of Qatar and Kuwait are the only ones that will show up.
That is not just a snub, that is a swift kick in the backside.
And why would they do this? Why would they intentionally embarrass the President of the United States this way?
I can answer that in four letters. I R A N.
Iran, which already is exporting and funding terrorism in the Middle East, would like nothing better than to control the Persian Gulf. That makes it a mortal threat to every country there – and they all know it.
Thus the fact that President Obama is essentially giving Iran a free pass to create a nuclear capability that could be used on any one of those countries has got to be a source of fear bordering on panic, because, militarily, they have no way of fighting back.
Which, astonishingly, leads to one country. The only one in that region with any capability to fight off Iran, therefore the one country which – like it or not (and you can be sure they don\’t) – is now their ally of circumstance.
That country is Israel.
Wouldn\’t it be ironic if Barack Obama\’s gross incompetence and inability to conduct a successful negotiation were the catalysts that brought Israel into alliance with Arab nations in the Persian Gulf?
And if it were to happen, do you doubt that Mr. Obama would jump to take credit for it as some kind of personal accomplishment? One look at his preening over the removal of troops from Iraq (which President Bush negotiated and signed two months before he left office) and killing of osama bin laden (who was found using methods Obama never would have agreed to) gives us the answer.
I will, of course, keep an eye on this and see how it plays out. I don\’t know what the result will be, but I guarantee it will be interesting.
