THE 9/11 TERRORIST WATCH: COMMERCIAL JETLINERS

What happens when a President tosses aside the constitution and spends a half year bombing a dictator-run country into oblivion with no idea of what will happen if the dictator is deposed – i.e. whether what replaces the dictator will be better or worse?

Well, that\’s what Barack Obama did in Libya.  The result?  A terrorist playground – no functioning government, just a national battlefield in which whoever can kill the most people “wins”.

And that isn\’t even the worst of it.

Excerpted from Bill Gertz\’s article at freebeacon.com:

Islamistmilitias in Libya took control of nearly a dozen commercial jetlinerslast month, and western intelligence agencies recently issued awarning that the jets could be used in terrorist attacks across NorthAfrica.

Intelligencereports of the stolen jetliners were distributed within the U.S.government over the past two weeks and included a warning that one ormore of the aircraft could be used in an attack later this month onthe date marking the anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, terroristattacks against New York and Washington, said U.S. officials familiarwith the reports.

“Thereare a number of commercial airliners in Libya that are missing,”said one official. “We found out on September 11 what can happenwith hijacked planes.”

Theofficial said the aircraft are a serious counterterrorism concernbecause reports of terrorist control over the Libyan airliners comethree weeks before the 13th anniversary of 9/11 attacks and thesecond anniversary of the Libyan terrorist attack on the U.S.diplomatic compound in Benghazi.

Something like a dozen commercial aircraft are missing – presumably in the hands of terrorists who would love to hit us and hit us hard. So what is our President doing about this?

Has he figured out a strategy for dealing with terrorism yet?  Or does he intend to conjure one up the next time he is on the golf course – which, based on recent history, will at least give him plenty of hours to do the conjuring.

We are in trouble.  Major trouble.  We need a leader; not a blowhard with an engaging grin, 100 platitudes, 1,000 excuses and 1,000,000 lies.  But what we have is the blowhard.

Pray for dumb luck.  That is our best shot.
