Remember bowe bergdahl?
In case you don\’t, he is the “soldier” who deserted his company in Iraq – the one President Obama traded for five career terrorists who, I have no doubt at all, will resume their terrorist activities now that he has freed them (they probably already have):
Here is the beginning of an article, written by Francesca Chambers for London\’s Daily Mail, which will bring you up to date about how the investigation of his actions currently stands:
TheArmy completed its investigation last week into Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl\’sdisappearance from a base in Afghanistan five years ago, but thePentagon said Tuesday that it doesn\’t know when the report will bereleased.
\’Theinvestigating officer has done his work, but now that work is movingthrough the Army system, and at each stop … there will … bequestions, requirements for clarification,\’ Army Colonel Steve Warrentold reporters.
\’Soit\’s working its way through the system as would any otherinvestigation.\’
Theresults of the Army\’s probe into whether Bergdahl deserted his postwill most certainly be withheld from the public until afterNovember\’s elections, if it discloses its findings at all.
ThePentagon\’s announcement has Republicans and former platoon mates ofBergdahl\’s wondering what\’s taking so long, as the facts of the caseappear fairly cut and dried on the surface.
Tell me: why would this investigation be hushed up for months? Why would its results not be released before the midterm elections?
Call me a cynic, but the most logical explanation I can think of is that the investigation showed bergdahl was exactly what it seems manifestly clear he was – a deserter, most likely sympathetic to the terrorists he willingly sought out. And if that is what happened, would it not follow that the report is being held up so the fact that President Obama traded 5 terrorists for a deserter won\’t negatively impact Democrats before the voters cast their ballots?
If you can come up with a more logical explanation, I\’m all eyes and ears. And I will happily post it so that other readers can make up their own minds. But, frankly, I don\’t expect one.
Oh, one other thing: the reason I posted the above excerpt from a London paper rather than a US one is that I googled “bowe bergdahl investigation” and, on the entire first three pages, the only mainstream media mention of it I could find was a reuters article. Not one mainstream newspaper in the USA had an article.
Why do you suppose?
