RECOUNT SAUCE FOR THE GANDER

From an Associated Press article reported by ABC News, we learn that there will now be a recount of five counties…

…in Nevada.

We’re not talking about Wisconsin, Michigan or Pennsylvania, where Donald Trump won and where Green Party candidate Jill Stein has insisted on recounts which could only help Hillary Clinton.  We are talking about Nevada, where Hillary Clinton won, and a reversal would give the state to Donald Trump.

And just like Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania, the recount has been purchased by a candidate who received just a tiny number of votes:  not Ms. Stein, but independent candidate Roque De La Fuente.

Nevada law says the recount must be completed in no more than 5 days.  And – here’s the interesting part – if it shows there is at least a 1% discrepancy for Mr. De La Fuente or Hillary Clinton, a full state recount is required.

If I’m understanding this correctly – i.e. if Roque De La Fuente, who managed all of 2,541 votes statewide, gains or loses 26 votes – the full recount is on.

You can blame Mr. De La Fuente for this idiocy on wheels.

Or you can blame Jill Stein, whose insistence on recounts in states where Donald Trump won by small margins spurred him to do this.

Or you can blame Hillary Clinton who, once Stein did so, had her campaign jump in with both feet.

Given that Ms. Stein’s own party, The Green Party, has disavowed her actions, and therefore the only formal political entity on board with what she is doing is the Clinton campaign, I would say it’s more than fair to tag Hillary Clinton with this.

I hope she enjoys that Nevada recount.

  • Green Party ?
    Green Party ?
Wasn’t that the party that Ralph Nader ran on for President (maybe 3 times)

Sounds like the Green Party is using Barry Soetoro’s campaign song, “Pay attention to ME …. ME…. ME …. ME”
